Collecting PlayStation trophies is one of my favourite video game hobbies. I enjoy recording my trophy journeys in the form of scrapbook articles on Strength in Sarcasm because why not! Here’s the details on my Infamous 2 platinum trophy quest.
SPOILER WARNING in case I need to say it. I’ll be talking about all the game’s trophies, which includes plot ruining details if you haven’t played the game yet.
Trophy 1: Watch That First Step
Official Description: Defeat an enemy by destroying the object they stand on.
Type: Bronze
Earned on: May 7th, 2022
Overall Earned: #1865
Cole’s 2nd game starts out with a little tutorial mission. After getting pwned by a massively OP entity known as The Beast in Empire City (based on IRL NYC, I assume) and losing most of his powers, Cole is dragged onto a boat by his colleague Agent Kuo and BFF Zeke.
They sail down south to the swampy town of New Marais (definitely based on New Orleans) to escape the Beast. There Cole seeks out Dr. Wolfe who will help him charge his powers enough to face The Beast when it arrives (its currently tearing its way down the coastline toward them).
New Marais is under the control of a mercenary group who hate Conduits (people like Cole with special powers) so there’s lots of fighting when Cole arrives! I got this first trophy when the game told me how to use shock grenade thingys to blow up verandas.
Trophy 2: Don’t Fence Me In
Official Description: Climb a chain link fence and rejoice.

As I always do in open world games, I immediately got distracted and starting hunting down Blast Shards and Dead Drops after greeting Wolfe. While getting a Blast Shard I climbed a fence which gave me this trophy. Huzzah!
Trophy 3: Discerning Taste
Official Description: Take down a street performer who is imitating a statue.
Type: Bronze
Earned on: May 7th, 2022
Overall Earned: #1867
Rudely interrupting street performers is considered a bad karma activity, but I got it on my good playthrough thanks to the side mission Masquerade. A bunch of the Militia jerks were disguised as performers in a park and Cole had to pwn them all.
Trophy 4: Army of Me
Official Description: Defeat 300 enemies.
Type: Bronze
Earned on: May 8th, 2022
Overall Earned: #1868
Wow! Only my 4th trophy and I’ve already defeated 300 things. My 300th confirmed pwning happened during the side mission Trick Photography. Cole had to snap photos of a battle between swamp monsters and Bertrand’s Militia forces. Taking a picture of defeated jerk #300 fulfilled one of the mission objectives so bonus!
Trophy 5: Quid Pro Kuo
Official Description: Complete Leading the Charge.
Type: Bronze
Earned on: May 8th, 2022
Overall Earned: #1869
This main mission was the first big karma choice in the story. Dr. Wolfe got killed in a car crash and Kuo was kidnapped by Bertrand. Cole walked away a bit injured but determined to find Kuo. Along the way he meets another Conduit, Nix, who loves blowing stuff up and attempting to seduce Cole to the evil side.
To break into Bertrand’s compound to rescue Kuo, Cole is presented with two choices.
Zeke’s Good choice: Free cops the Militia has captured and get them to help with the assault.
Nix’s Evil choice: Hijack a streetcar and use it to blow up the gates to Bertrand’s compound (frying a lot of innocent people).
Good playthrough so good choice this time! At the end Cole finds Kuo tied up in an experimental lab. She’s had something done to her and an army of icemen experiments bust out into the world. Uh oh!
