Dark Souls: Praise the Platinum!

Collecting PlayStation trophies is one of my favourite video game hobbies. I enjoy recording my trophy journeys in the form of scrapbook articles on Strength in Sarcasm because why not! Here’s the details on my Dark Souls platinum trophy quest.

SPOILER WARNING in case I need to say it. I’ll be talking about all the game’s trophies, which includes plot ruining details if you haven’t played the game yet.

Trophy 1: Enkindle

Official Description: Light bonfire flame.
Type: Bronze
Earned on: December 21st, 2018
Overall Earned: #882

You get to save at these but it also respawns all the enemies… oh noes!

Trophy 2: Estus Flask

Official Description: Acquire Estus Flask.
Type: Bronze
Earned on: December 21st, 2018

This thing is like a potion that can recharge at a bonfire. Something like that? It’s not easy to use during a fight though since it’s so slow. And yes, I got hit by the stupid boulder on the stupid stairs that opens this room. Jerks!

Trophy 3: Reach Lordran

Official Description: Arrive in Lordran.

And my weird undead butt landed in the main game world! Giant crow travel seems fun.

Trophy 4: Covenant: Way of White

Official Description: Discover Way of White covenant.

Continuously bothering Petrus of Thorolund near the crow drop off point got me into this exclusive covenant thingy.

Trophy 5: Ring the Bell (Undead Church)

Official Description: Ring Bell of Awakening at Undead Church.
Type: Bronze
Earned on: August 19th, 2022
Overall Earned: #1918

After the Bell Gargoyles were downed, I climbed the tower and rung a bell. No idea what that did but seemed like an important plot moment.
