Dragon Age II: The Platinum Champion of Kirkwall

Trophy 36: Archeologist

Official Description: During each year in Kirkwall, discovered 3 secret messages from the Band of Three.
Type: Silver
Earned on: September 29th, 2021
Overall Earned: #1668

The Band of Three are a bunch of scholars who left notes about Kirkwall’s even darker Tevinter times. Finding all of them in each Act was what I needed for this one. There’s one last one near the end of the game but you don’t need it for shiny trophy.

Trophy 37: Dragon Slayer

Official Description: Found and killed a high dragon.
Type: Silver
Earned on: September 29th, 2021
Overall Earned: #1669

The Bone Pit mining co. saga comes to an epic conclusion with a high dragon boss fight in Act 3. It wasn’t a cakewalk, even on Casual difficulty, but I managed to take it down without dying.

Trophy 38: I Got Your Back

Official Description: Completely upgraded the armor of one of your party members.
Type: Bronze
Earned on: September 29th, 2021
Overall Earned: #1670

The high dragon dropped Enchanted Resin (along with other phat lootz) which was the last upgrade I needed for Fenris.

Trophy 39: Demon Slayer

Official Description: Found and killed the ancient demon, Hybris.
Type: Silver
Earned on: September 30th, 2021
Overall Earned: #1671

Act 3 has three scrolls scattered about. Reading these scrolls triggers a mini boss-like fight in the area. Once all three are downed, you can check out the demon you inadvertently summoned by Ander’s Clinic in Darktown.

I loved Hawke’s sarcastic dialogue option: “Summoned a horror. Of course I did. Why wouldn’t I do that?”

Trophy 40: Conqueror

Official Description: Defeated Meredith, knight-commander of Kirkwall’s templars.
Type: Bronze
Earned on: September 30th, 2021
Overall Earned: #1672

Anders the wannabe martyr blows up the Chantry. Meredith goes full psycho-zealot enacting the Right of Annulment (gives her clearance to kill all mages). When the Templars corner him, Orsino uses Quentin’s blood magic notes (the serial killer freak who mutilated Hawke’s Mom in Act 2) to turn himself into the twisted Harvester creature from the Dragon Age: Origins – Golems Amgarrak DLC (way to ‘disprove’ all mages use blood magic… idiot).

After killing whatever the hell Orsino became, Meredith is fully taken over by the red lyrium idol she purchased from Bartrand (she melted it down and forged it into her sword) and goes after Hawke. She’s quite teleport-y and can bring statues to life, but the fight wasn’t too hard. It helps that all my companions and NPC friendz I made during the game jumped in to help.
