Metal Gear Solid 3: Platinum Eater

Trophy 6: Serenity Now

Official Description: Call one Healing Radio frequency
Type: Bronze

Overall Earned: #1689

Serenity now, insanity later. Yep. I’m old and that was a Seinfeld reference.

At this point I decided to restart my playthrough and follow a guide for a ‘perfect run’. This means I’ll get all the trophies in one go. My backlog is long and I have a million other games to get to. I ain’t got no time for bumbling around and missing collectibles in this game, dammit.

Anyway, there are secret Healing Radio channels you can tune into to hear cool musics. The first one I listened to was Don’t Be Afraid on channel 149.53.

Trophy 7: Tune-In Tokyo

Official Description: Call every Healing Radio frequency
Type: Bronze
Earned on: October 17th, 2021
Overall Earned: #1690

Listening to all of the Healing Radio musics gave me this trophy! They sounded cool even if I have no idea what the point of them is.

Trophy 8: Mostly Dead

Official Description: Use the Fake Death pill
Type: Bronze
Earned on: October 17th, 2021
Overall Earned: #1691

That’s quite the convincing fake death! The Game Over screen even plays when you use it. Luckily I was still able to use the Revival Pill to resurrect double-o Snake.

Trophy 9: Can I Keep It?

Official Description: Capture any animal alive
Type: Bronze
Earned on: October 17th, 2021
Overall Earned: #1692

I shot an adorable little froggo with the EZ Gun (the unlimited tranquilizer gun you get for playing on Very Easy mode) and picked him up for this one. I may or may not have made Snake eat the little fella later to clear inventory space… sorry.

Trophy 10: Prince Charming

Official Description: Shoot a Kerotan for the first time
Type: Bronze
Earned on: October 17th, 2021
Overall Earned: #1693

There are a bunch of these weird frog figures hidden all over the game. The first one is in the starter area in the trees on a hill. You have to shoot them and they make a croaking sound for some reason. I dunno. I’ve learned to not ask questions and just roll with it when playing Metal Gear Solid games.

These little fellas are hidden pretty well! I doubt I would have found or shot one if I wasn’t following a guide.
